Comments About The First Edition
I like Regio Paniago´s book, one of the books that I use in my Acoustic Comfort Class taught at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism – UNIEURO ( Euro-American University Centre ), it is good to read , in clear language , well organized and illustrations with graphic quality. Practical, first of all, demystifies the acoustics for bringing the day to day problems of the architect and engineer, musician, among others, constituting an interesting source of information.

The book Architectural Acoustics presents the acoustic concepts in an objective text, which is clear and in a sequence of easy understanding for the student . The architect Régio Paniago Carvalho managed to convey the acoustic bases without recourse to complex mathematical formulas , making the book accesible to beginners in the world of acoustics. In addition, it presents specific architectural situations with recommendations for conducting and adequate acoustic design . This book has been a source of consultation for the realization of our acoustic projects , as well as serving as a base for the creation of our distance learning course ” Acoustics – fundamentals and concepts.”

It is a pleasure to comment on the book Architectural Acoustics from my personal friend and fellow in 30-year journey , architect Régio Paniago , the highest quality work both with regard to the theoretical precepts as to the range of sound absorption coefficients of various materials cited in it. I suggest this work not only for professionals but also for students of architecture and engineering. Congratulations on this very valuable work for all of us.

This book came to fill the gap of such few publications on architectural acoustics in Brazil. In the constant search for a new lifestyle with comfort and well-being, this material shows its great value for ACKOUSTIK, assisting in the solutions of the work of our company.
